Public Servant, Attorney and Community Advocate
Kenn Barnes is a public servant and community advocate running for State Senate District 3, with a career rooted in helping families navigate systems that shape everyday life.
Kenn has served as Special Counsel to the Louisiana Supreme Court, where he managed million-dollar public budgets and helped reform specialty courts that improved public safety while saving taxpayers money.
Whether advocating for civil rights or serving as a public defender, Kenn has stood alongside families navigating systems that too often feel confusing, inaccessible, or stacked against them. He understands how policy decisions made at the federal and state level have real consequences right here at home, and he knows how to fix what isn't working.
Kenn's vision is to bring accountable, people-centered leadership to District 3 and ensure government works for the communities it serves.
